First:
You tell us:
- The area you wish to improve – Marketing (lead generation), Sales (conversion rates),
etc
- The image you are trying to project (How you view your business)
- Your current goals (% increase you think achievable)
- Your budget for accomplishing the goals
- How you are different. What makes you unique
- Your main value point (Unique Value Proposition)
- Your main methods of attracting visitors
- What you see as major problems / issues
- A list of key competitors
- Number of dedicated in-house resources
- Keywords / phrases you are targeting
We then look over the site with your goals and public image in mind. We evaluate
what we see as a disinterested third party, but a third party with loads of experience.
Then we tell you
- How we can improve the site
- What we see as the primary problem areas
- What can be done to remedy them
- A high level competitive analysis
- An estimate of what it will take to accomplish the goals, if your goals can be reached
with a reasonable chance of success.
We may have further questions to help clarify the objectives.
We then reach an agreement to proceed, or not. So far, you haven't spent a dime.
Second:
If we move forward, we will
- Develop a baseline of your current sales and/or marketing efforts.
- Run an evaluation of the business and project your current probability of success.
The average across all businesses is about 25%, or only a 1 in 4 chance of success.
- Establish an agreeable budget for the project.
- Define the goals and objectives of the project based on the available budget.
- Run a new evaluation based on the new objectives and project a new
probability of success. This probability must be above 51% before we proceed. If
less than 51%, we either drop the project before throwing away more money, or try
to reposition the strategy as a more profitable enterprise.
- Assemble a dedicated team of web, marketing and/or sales experts in your specific field.
- Proceed to accomplish the objectives
- Test, measure and modify until we reach the goals.
Third:
Redefine the goals and objectives, test, then repeat Step Two
